Light Blub

So I was listening to the audio book, The Tipping Point and a giant light bulb went off in my head & heart when Malcolm Gladwell was discussing Mavens.

A maven is according to Wikipedia: is a trusted expert in a particular field, who seeks to pass knowledge on to others.

The pass on to others is the key. I don't gather information for myself necessarily but for you. I am constantly thinking of things that you'd enjoy, help you grow, make you comfortable. When we go out to eat, I automatically am planning the best seating arrangements for the most enjoyable night.

Being a maven is not like being an expert on a particular subject. It's a service out of pure love for you. I try very hard not to be know-it-all or a bully but sometimes I am so adamant about what I'm trying to sell that I may come off that way.

This is why I've created this blog called Maven Help. I'm here to help. Just ask....O, wait...Mavens don't wait to be asked. We just tell you why you need this. That may happen as well. :)
